PGCircle ("we", "us") operates the PGCircle website and mobile apps (the "Service"), a trusted PG & student-accommodation network for Hyderabad. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account details: your name and mobile phone number (required to create an account and sign in via OTP).
Optional profile data: email address, city, and your role (student or PG owner).
Verification documents you choose to upload (e.g. ID proof) for the optional "Verified" badge.
Listing & photos: if you are a PG owner, the property details and photos you submit.
Approximate location: only the city/area you search in, to show nearby PGs. We do not track precise background location.
Usage data: basic, standard log data (device type, app version) to keep the Service reliable.
How we use it
To create and secure your account and send one-time login codes (via WhatsApp/SMS).
To show relevant PG listings and let owners and students connect.
To manually review verification documents (within 24 hours) and award the "Verified" badge.
To respond to support requests and keep the Service safe.
What we never do
We never sell your personal data.
We never share your uploaded documents with other students or owners.
We never use your photos for marketing without your consent.
We do not share your data with third parties for their own advertising.
Data security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Documents are stored in private cloud storage and accessed only by our trained review team and, where you have applied to a listing, the authorized PG owner.
Verification providers
We are working towards integrating authorized verification providers (DigiLocker, HyperVerge, IDfy, Signzy, Digio). Until that integration is live, document review is performed manually by our team.
Your rights & data deletion
You can request a copy or full deletion of your data at any time. Email privacy@pgcircle.org and we will process your request within 7 days. You can also delete your account from within the app.
Children
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
